The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has announced a massive recruitment drive for the year 2024-25, aiming to fill a total of 4660 positions for Constables and Sub-Inspectors. This recruitment is a part of the Centralized Employment Notice (CEN) No. RPF 01/2024 & RPF 02/2024 released by the Government of India.
Aspiring candidates can apply for these vacancies starting from April 15, 2024, through the official website of RPF by May 14, 2024. The selection process for these positions includes a Computer-Based Test followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
The vacancies are distributed as follows:
- Sub Inspector (SI): 452 vacancies (Notification No. RPF 01/2024)
- Constable: 4208 vacancies (Notification No. RPF 02/2024)
Eligibility criteria
- The RPF Constable position require 10th class (Matriculation) pass or equivalent from a recognized board by the Government of India.
- The Sub-Inspector position require a Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree) in any discipline from a recognized university.
Age limit:-
The age is set between 18 to 28 years, with relaxation provided for certain categories as per government norms.
Terms of salary
- Constables are offered an initial pay of ₹ 21,700/- per month.
- Sub Inspectors receive an initial pay of ₹ 35,400/- per month, both as per the 7th CPC recommendations.
Selection process
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
Exam fee
- General and OBC candidates is ₹ 500/-
- while it is ₹ 250/- for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minorities, or EBC candidates.
